SquatchMap

This map displays the locations of over 4000 reports of encounters with bigfoot/sasquatch creatures, collected and curated by the Bigfoot Field Researchers Association (BFRO). Please note that the report locations are known to be somewhat innacurate and are not endorsed by the BFRO.

Click on each report to learn more about it on the BFRO website. Change the base map using the button in the top-left.

BFRO Classification System:

Class A icon Class A Encounter: Well-documented sighting, low potential for misidentification.
Class B icon Class B Encounter: Credible report with some potential for misidentification.
Class C icon Class C Encounter: Reports with untraceable sources, rarely listed publicly.

The data displayed on the map represents about half of the comprehensive database of credible sightings and related reports.

All report data belongs to the BFRO, though some report locations have been corrected by users of this site, as indicated in the popup.

If you have had a sighting in the United States, Canada, or any other country, please take a moment and report it to their team of scientists using the button below. The report will be kept quiet and not published if you request it.

This open-source project uses data downloaded from the Bigfoot Field Research Organization. For more information on the data and map, see the GitHub repository.

Do not contact the BFRO with any concerns about location accuracy. The BFRO does not endorse the accuracy of these locations.

If you notice a bad location, feel free to click the link in the popup and try to fill out the form with a new location. If you can find some valid coordinates for the location from reading the report and doing some detective work, please submit these with the form and the point will be updated by the next weekly site update.
